ব্যাংক খাতে বর্তমানে সাড়ে ১১ শতাংশ খেলাপি ঋণকে উচ্চ মাত্রার উল্লেখ করে তা কমাতে বলেছে বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক। তবে ব্যাংকাররা বলেছেন, তারাও চান খেলাপি ঋণ কমাতে। তবে ইচ্ছাকৃত খেলাপিদের কারণে তা সম্ভব হচ্ছে না। দৃষ্টান্তমূলক কিছু শাস্তি নিশ্চিত করা গেলে খেলাপি ঋণ আদায় জোরদার হবে।----
